![]() ![]() I am just posting this as feedback for version. I was too busy having had to do an unplanned 80 mile round trip to get the system running properly. ![]() I would have reverted to version but for the security vulnerability issue with that version. Version worked properly, including Web Shield. Since this is the only instance of the problem out of ten installations I have done of version, I assume that a glitch exists in the offending system. ![]() ![]() By default, it uses /dev/random as an entropy source. File, Behaviour and Mail Shields work normally. I experienced a very slow stock Tomcat dashboard on a clean Centos7 install and found the following cause and solution: Slow start up times for Tomcat are often related to Java's SecureRandom implementation. I did try a fresh avastclear uninstall then full offline install without success and so resorted to the uninstall of Web Shield in Safe Mode. The uninstall had to be performed in Safe Mode because it was not possible to persuade Web Shield to uninstall in Normal Mode, it just remained hanging around not shielding but a heavy emcumbrance to the system performance. I have had to uninstall Web Shield from Avast Free to allow the host Windows 7 (圆4) system to perform acceptably. It started a couple of hours after I had replaced version and the system then became slower and slower to the point that it was effectively unusable. Web Shield causes Windows 7 (圆4) to run very slow. I think there is something really odd going on with WD controllers not so much the drives I have many edits to make and its very frustrating. Crazy Talk 'hangs' and takes 12-15 seconds to complete. Well it came back to life i copied off what was on there ( but we had this already).formatted it then handed it to the engineers to kill it CrazyTalk » Technical Issues » Crazy Talk 8 very slow on every edit Crazy Talk 8 very slow on every edit. I plugged it in just to check and i know i spent ages trying to get this one to come back to life a months was just dead and not seen by finder.drive light flashing Just last night i was looking thru some old portable drives, i had in a draw and i found a 1 TB WD passports in there which i had actually marked. It was really odd once we recovered stuff off them we reformatted and they worked again for a time( please note we only used them to move things from A to B nothing critical was kept on them)īut we end up sending them to Hard drive heaven after the second time this happened and they started to miss behave like thisĭrop off /crash / mount but stupid slow access We had a couple of the 4tb fastback up usb 3 drives which are similar but USB 3. do it folder by folder or bit by bit not all a onceĪnd put it as the only device in the chainĪlso see what happens when you put it on a PC with thunderbolt /boot camp ( the paragon thing to read the partition) Attach it to another mac not the imac and transfer everything off it. ![]()
